Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Version 2.2 · Effective November 5, 2026
This policy applies if you live in Washington or Nevada, or if your consumer health data is collected in either state. It is written for Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and Nevada's consumer health data law (NRS 603A.400 to 603A.550). It works alongside our general Privacy Policy, which has more detail.
Who we are: Maternalabs is an app from PPL Launch Partners LLC, a Florida limited liability company (registration number L24000457533), 8200 NW 41st St, Ste 200, Doral, FL 33166, USA. This is our registered agent's address, not an office open to the public.

1. The consumer health data we collect, why, and how we use it
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it and how we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Pregnancy and reproductive health | Your stage (trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum or breastfeeding), your dates, how your pregnancy is going, your appointments and bump photos | To set up your plan and trackers, compute your pregnancy week, and show reminders and "call your doctor" alerts |
| Bodily functions, vital signs, symptoms and measurements | Measurements such as weight, height or blood pressure, symptoms, breastfeeding and pumping sessions | To record them, show your history and trends, and flag what is worth mentioning to your doctor |
| Medical history and conditions | Conditions you choose to share | To adapt your plan and exercise program |
| Medications and supplements | What you take and what you look up in the Scanner, including photos of packages or prescriptions | To show compatibility information with pregnancy and breastfeeding, and to improve the Scanner with the products it doesn't have yet |
| Mental health and wellbeing | Mood, rest, support network, and your daily mood log, with its notes | To show your history privately and point you to help when needed |
| Your baby's health | Growth, feeding, sleep, diapers, symptoms, medications, vaccines, milestones, pediatrician contact | To keep your baby's records, compute growth percentiles and prepare your country's vaccine schedule |
| Coach conversations | What you write to the Coach, its answers, and the message of the day it writes to you first | To answer you and to write your message of the day |
| Inferences | Pregnancy week, baby's age, growth percentiles, alerts and summaries the app computes from your data | To show them to you inside the app |
The Coach and the Scanner. If you give your artificial intelligence permission, we also use this data so the Coach and the Scanner can answer you: they receive what you write and the data from your profile and your records that they need to answer you (section 3). The Coach does not receive your daily mood log.
The message of the day. With that same permission, once a day, the Coach writes to you first with a short message. To write it, Google's artificial intelligence receives the data from your logs and your baby's that it needs, never your mood or your weight. If you are a caregiver, yours only uses the baby's data.
We use this data only to provide the app to you. We do not use it for advertising.
2. Where we get it
- From you: what you answer, log and write.
- From caregivers you invite: what they log about your baby.
- From the app: what it computes from the above.
- From the AI: the answers the Coach and the Scanner give you, and your message of the day.
3. Who we share it with
Disclosures to our service providers. These providers process data on our behalf, only to provide our service:
- Cloud hosting: stores every category in section 1, in the United States, and runs the app.
- Artificial intelligence, Google: with your permission, it receives what you write to the Coach, the photos you show the Scanner, and the Scanner lookups that use artificial intelligence, together with the data from your profile and your records that it needs to answer you; and, once a day, the data from your logs and your baby's that it needs to write your message of the day, never your mood or your weight. It may process it in any country where Google operates.
- Subscription management: receives none of these categories.
- Usage measurement and crash reports: receives none of these categories.
What we share at your direction:
- Caregivers you invite: they see your name, your baby's tracking and your breastfeeding, pumping and milk-stash records. They never see your own health data, your mood log or your Coach conversation.
What we share when the law requires it:
- Government authorities: only when the law requires it, after reviewing that the request is valid (see the Privacy Policy, section 15).
The list of third parties. If you ask us by email, we send you the list of the specific third parties we share your consumer health data with, and how to contact them (section 5).
We have no affiliates that receive your data.
We never sell your consumer health data, share it for advertising, or use geofencing around health care facilities. We do not let third parties collect your consumer health data over time or across other websites or apps.
4. Your consent
- We ask for your consent before collecting your health data, on the first screens of the app and before the first health question.
- We ask separately for consent to store it outside your country, on our providers' servers in the United States.
- We ask separately again before sending to Google's AI what you write to the Coach and what you look up in the Scanner, with the data it needs to answer you, and the data from your logs it needs to write your message of the day (section 3).
- Accepting our Terms is a separate step: it does not count as consent to any of them.
- You can withdraw your AI consent in the app's privacy settings. You can withdraw your health data consent by deleting your account.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and access it, including the list of all third parties and affiliates we have shared it with or sold it to, and their contact information. We send it to you by email.
- Withdraw your consent to its collection and sharing.
- Delete it. We delete it from our systems and tell our service providers to delete it within 30 days at most. It disappears from backups within 90 days at most.
- Correct it: you can edit or delete your records in the app, or ask us by email.
How to make a request:
- In the app: for editing, deleting records or deleting your account, as the Delete account page explains.
- By email: developer@ppllaunchpartners.com, for everything else. Write from the email linked to your account so we can verify it is you.
Our response:
- We usually answer within 10 business days, as our Privacy Policy says. The legal maximum is 45 days: if we need more time, we tell you why, and we may take up to 45 more days.
- Requests are free. We may only decline a request that is manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive.
- We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Appeals:
- If we decline your request, reply to our decision with the word "Appeal" within 45 days.
- We will answer your appeal within 45 days and explain our reasons.
- Washington: if you disagree with the result, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov.
- Nevada: if you disagree with the result, you can contact the Nevada Attorney General at ag.nv.gov.
6. How we process and protect it
- Storage: your data is stored on our providers' servers in the United States. Our team works from Panama and accesses it from there when needed to support you or maintain the service.
- Protection: it is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access controls tie every record to its account.
7. Changes
- If we change this policy, we notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
- If we want to collect or share your consumer health data for a new purpose, we ask for your consent first.
8. Language
This policy is available in English and Spanish (Spanish version). If the versions differ, the version in the language you use the app in prevails.
